For auto mechanics and shop owners
Drivers nearby are looking for a mechanic. Help them find your shop.
MechanicIQ connects car owners with the right service in their area. You can promote your shop in a few minutes without hiring someone to build a website.
Register your shopA simple way to be found
Most shop owners are busy in the bay, not at a computer. You already get work from people who know you. The drivers you have not met yet are searching for a city, a postal code, and the job they need done this week.
MechanicIQ is a Canadian directory of auto shops. A driver types where they are, then narrows the list by the service, how far they will travel, and the extras that matter to them. Your shop can be on that list.
Listing is free. You tell us who you are, where you are, what you do, and when you are open. We review it. Then people searching near you can see your shop, your prices, and your hours.
Register your shopRegister your shopYou do not need to be good with computers. You need a clear page that says what you fix, what you charge, and when the doors are open.
How a driver finds you
The search is straightforward. A driver starts with a place, then narrows the list until a shop fits the job.
-
01
The place
A city or a postal code. Kitchener, or something like N2G 1A1.
-
02
How far
They choose a distance of 5, 10, 20, 50, or 100 kilometres from that spot.
-
03
The job
Oil change, brake service, or tire change. They can look for one of those, or leave the job open.
-
04
The vehicle, when it matters
For an oil change, they can pick the make and model. For tires, they can say whether the tires are on the rims or off.
-
05
The extras
A shuttle, parking on site, tire storage, a loaner or courtesy car, a warranty on replacement parts, quality assurance, EV licensed work, white glove service, or full brake service.
-
06
The order of the list
Shops closer to the driver show up higher. Shops that have added prices show up higher than shops that left prices blank. Google star ratings appear when we can match your shop, so drivers can see them. A paid placement can move you higher later, if you want it. You do not need it to be listed.
What your shop page can say
This is the same information a customer asks for on the phone.
- Your shop name, address, phone number, and website
- The hours you are open
- Starting prices for the work you do. Leave a price blank for any job you do not offer.
- Extras such as a shuttle, parking, or tire storage
- A photo or logo, if you have one
Customers are told that a price on the site is a starting point from your shop, and that they should ask you for a firm quote before any work is done.
Register your shopHow you get on the list

-
2
We review it
We look over new shops in one to two business days and check that the details make sense.
-
3
We email you a sign-in link
There is no password to create or remember. Open the email, follow the link, and you are in your account.
